National Bank of Oman (the "Bank") is committed to protecting its customers' privacy and safeguarding their personal, business and financial information. This applies to all Bank's current and former customers in the countries in which the Bank operates.

The Bank will not disclose any information it has about customers and business relationships except when required by regulatory authorities and law enforcing agencies that have authority over the Bank or Customer's authorization and consent is obtained. Such disclosures may occasionally be made without customer's knowledge and consent.

The Bank restricts collection, use and retention of customer information that is limited to what is reasonably believed to be required to deliver products and services to Bank's customers, administer its operations, update and enhance its customers' records, manage its risks, market its products and services, and to meet applicable laws and regulations.

The Bank restricts access to customer information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services.

The Bank educates all its employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy through standard policies and procedures.

Bank customers who receive information from or transact business with the Bank through the Internet may be subject to other privacy principles that are covered in the Internet banking services terms and conditions statement.

The Bank maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect customer information that comply with local laws and regulations.
