For the risk-averse investor, we recommend long term deposits as a good form of investment. In long term deposits, you lock your money in for a fixed length of time at a fixed rate of interest. Upon maturity, you can withdraw your principal plus the interest earned.

Long term deposits are available for a variety of time periods and in various currencies. Foreign currency deposits work exactly like ordinary deposits except that they are not in local currency.

Flexible Tenures & Deposits

Long term deposits can be placed for a minimum of one year to a maximum of five years. Deposit amounts can also be varied with the minimum deposit amount being RO 5,000 or its equivalent.

Interest Capitalization Options

Depending on your needs, interest earned can be capitalized or paid monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly.

Withdrawals Possible Before Maturity

For emergencies and in times of extraordinary need, long term deposits can be withdrawn fully or partially before maturity. However, conditions apply.

Foreign Currencies Accepted

Long term deposits can be made in OMR and USD.

Depositors can also use long term deposits as security for availing credit facilities.
